Hello. Welcome to RAW Attitude Kennels.
We are a small kennel located in the north San Fernando Valley, in the Los Angeles area.
We’ve been breeding, and training pit bulls for over 18 years. We are currently getting involved in the conformation show ring, and obedience trials. We are determined to help educate people about this wonderful breed. It’s time their bad reputation, because of being in the wrong hands, comes to an end. We breed for conformation; with a bulgy ‘’bully’’ body, and, most importantly, disposition.
We have had primarily “old family” red noses, over the last 18 years, but in October 2003, our best breeding bitch “Sweet Molly Malone” came down with a mysterious blood ailment. She had a team of 5 vets, 3 of them specialists trying to save her. She died within 7 days. She had 5 transfusions. We have since found out that the ingredients in the cleaning solution in the Swifter floor mop contains virtually the same stuff as anti-freeze. The doctors all said she’d been poisoned, but there was nothing in the house [we thought] or yard that could do it. All of our dogs are trained not to eat anything from the ground..and she was VERY picky. We have 4 reds at home now, and a blue fawn. Ruth’s dream has always been to have blues. So, when Molly died...we went on a quest.
I think we went to every kennel on the internet. Once we saw what Atzlan Kennels had to offer, we didn’t look any further. We are incredibly grateful to Leonard Barrios of Atzlan, as well as Adrian and Alfredo Cancino from Blue Blood Kennels. We have, not one; but two beautiful blue pups from them. Because it’s been about 9 years since we really intensively trained a puppy, and because these pups are show dogs, we took them to Jim Canino, and they are currently involved in heavy duty obedience classes, preparing to go to obedience trials. Ox is doing wonderful..he already does off-leash obedience ..but Zsa~zsa is a leetle more ..um..spirited....(Ruth would say spoiled.)

Both Ox and Zsa have shown in the Junior puppy class. Ox took second His second show, ever, and Zsa placed 3rd in her first and second shows. (I was told that had the handler known what ‘she’ was doing, Zsa’d have placed higher…we’re off to handling school next.)
